Objection submitted by Friends of Skeleton Hill Inc.
The attached document was submitted on behalf of the Friends of Skeleton Hill Inc on Thursday 15 April 2010. We make it quite clear that FOSH Inc are not opposed to quarrying within Indigo Shire per se. However, we are definitely opposed to the proposal to quarry Skeleton Hill, believing it to be the worst possible location near the township of Chiltern that Holcim (Australia) could have chosen.

Our objection to the proposed quarry focuses on three key areas:
1.   Landscape and visual impact;
2.   Flora and fauna impact; and
3.   Cultural heritage and social impact.
